Does PinShot Pro require an internet connection?
No. PinShot Pro works completely offline. All your pins, photos, and folder data are stored locally on your device. No internet connection is needed at any point.
Do I need to create an account?
No account required. Open the app and start saving locations immediately. We don't collect any personal information — there's nothing to sign up for.
How do I add a pin?
Tap the + button on the map or list screen. PinShot Pro will capture your current GPS location automatically. You can then add a title, notes, tags, lighting condition, and a reference photo before saving.
How do I navigate back to a saved pin?
Open any pin and tap the navigate icon. This will open your default maps app (Apple Maps, Google Maps, etc.) with directions to that location.
How do folders work?
Folders let you group pins by project, city, trip, or shooting style. Create a folder from the home screen and assign pins to it when saving. You can move pins between folders at any time.
Can I share my pins or folders with others?
Yes. You can export any folder as a .pinshot file and share it with anyone — via AirDrop, email, or any file-sharing app. They can import it directly into PinShot Pro on their device.
How do I attach a photo to a pin?
When adding or editing a pin, tap the photo area to take a new photo with your camera or select one from your photo library. Photos are stored locally on your device.
What are tags and how do I use them?
Tags (like #golden-hour, #urban, #sunrise) let you label and filter your pins by theme or shooting style. Add them when creating or editing a pin. Use the filter bar in the list view to show only pins with a specific tag.
If I delete the app, do I lose my pins?
Yes — because all data is stored locally on your device, uninstalling the app removes everything. We recommend exporting important folders as .pinshot files before uninstalling if you want to keep a backup.
Is my location data private?
Completely. PinShot Pro only accesses your location while the app is open, and only to tag a pin you're creating. Your GPS data is never transmitted to any server. Read our full

Does PinShot Pro have in-app purchases or ads?
No. PinShot Pro is free to download with no in-app purchases and no advertising of any kind.
Which devices are supported?
PinShot Pro is available for iPhone (iOS) and Android phones. Tablet support is not available at this time. Check the App Store or Google Play listing for the minimum OS version.
