Overview

PinShot Pro ("the App") is a photography location manager that lets you save, organize, and revisit photo locations. This privacy policy explains what data we handle, why, and how — which in our case is very simple: all data stays on your device.

Data We Collect

Location Data

What: Precise GPS coordinates (latitude/longitude) when you add a pin.
When: Only while the app is in use (foreground). We never collect location in the background.
Why: To tag your saved pins with geographic coordinates.
Storage: Stored locally on your device only. Never transmitted to any server.

Photos & Camera

What: Photos you take or select from your photo library to attach to pins.
Why: To associate visual reference images with saved locations.
Storage: Images are stored locally on your device. We do not upload photos anywhere.

User-Created Content

What: Pin titles, notes, tags, lighting/weather conditions, folder names.
Why: To let you organize and describe your saved locations.
Storage: Stored in a local SQLite database on your device.

Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect any personal identifiers (name, email, phone number, Apple ID).
We do not transmit any data to external servers or cloud services.
We do not use analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs.
We do not share any data with third parties.
We do not track you across apps or websites.
We do not use iCloud, CloudKit, or any other sync service.

Permissions Used

Permission	Purpose
Location (When In Use)	Get precise GPS coordinates when adding a pin
Camera	Take a photo to attach to a pin
Photo Library	Select an existing photo from your library to attach to a pin

All permissions are requested only when you initiate the relevant action and only while the app is in the foreground. You may deny any permission — core features unrelated to that permission will continue to work.

Data Storage & Security

All data is stored locally on your device using SQLite. No internet connection is required or used by the app. Exported .pinshot files are plain archives you create and control entirely — they are not uploaded anywhere by the app.

Children's Privacy

PinShot Pro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your Rights

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you are in full control:

Delete a pin: removes its data immediately.
Delete a folder: removes all pins in that folder.
Uninstall the app: removes all app data from your device permanently.

There is no server-side data to request or erase.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
